Short: LCD Monitor Test Author: Ilkka Lehtoranta (ilkleht@isoveli.org) Uploader: Ilkka Lehtoranta (ilkleht isoveli org) Type: util/misc Version: 1.0 Requires: CyberGraphX 3.0, MUI 3.3 Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.0.0, ppc-morphos With this utility you can test and possibly even repair your monitor. It includes following features: · Defective Pixels. Find dead, stuck or hot pixels from your LCD monitor. · Flicker. Test how much and how your LCD monitor flickers. · Gradient. Test how well your monitor can display gray scale gradient. This test is available only in MorphOS. · Contrast. Test how well your monitor does different shades of colours. · Black Level. Test how well your monitor does darkest shades. · Viewing Angle. Test viewing angle. · Pixel Fixer. Fix defective pixels in your LCD monitor. When using this utility it is recommended that you use native resolition of your LCD monitor. In MorphOS 2.0 this can be done automatically but on other systems you must choose right display mode before running tests. You should use true colour modes if possible. Some tests do not work properly in high colour modes. 8bit screens are not supported at all. Some options are available only in MorphOS 2.0 but all tests are fully functional in MorphOS 1.0 also. Pixel Fixer is untested (my LCD does not have any defective pixels) but in theory it should work for stuck pixels. In Pixel Fixer move an animated box above stuck pixel and let it run there about a hour. If necessary (when having stuck pixels in distant locations) you can create more animated boxes by pressing spacebar and delete them by pressing delete or backspace. Minimum requirements: - Kickstart 3.0 - 2MB RAM - Gfx board - MUI or - any machine running MorphOS or - any machine running OS4 and gfx board
