Short: Small utility to unpack files from Workbench Author: inf01@uni-trier.de Uploader: inf01 uni-trier de Type: util/arc Architecture: m68k-amigaos WBx is short for Workbench Xtractor. It's a small utility intended to be used as a default tool in an Archive's project icon. WBx allows easy extraction of complete archives from the workbench, no need to go into a shell anymore. Lets you chose the target path in a small window. WBx is configurable, so you can use it with almost any archive type. It uses the Amiga's System() call to execute the appropriate archive program. Other features include: - Possibility to specify calling sequences in a brain file - Tool types in the icon override entries in the brain file - Freely configurable command line. You can use two special sequences for the archive name and target path. For example, the entry for a LHA type archive in the brainfile looks like this: LHA lha x %a %p The first is the file type (mostly a capitalization of the extensions). Next comes the command line used to extract the archive, with '%a' being a 'placeholder' for the archives actual name, and '%p' for the target path. - Also works with DMS/other disk compressors type archives. WBx is Do-what-you-want-with-it-but-dont-sell-it-for-profit-ware. See the docs for further details. Hans-Joerg Frieden.
