Short: Finds File-descriptions from BBS-list Author: Michael Gehmair Uploader: Michael Gehmair Type: comm/bbs Architecture: m68k-amigaos IDFind is for all who are used to extract the File_ID.Diz File for making a list. As a matter of fact sometimes File_ID.Diz is not found. To complete your list you have to get the Upload-file from your local BBS and search for the file. Here is where IDFind drops in. Just give the BBSList and the NoFileIDList and IDFind finds the Description for you and writes them into a 3rd File. If for some reason some files are not in the BBSList, they will be stored into a 4th File. You can create the NoFileIDList by simply by recording a Macro in you favourite Editor where you search for the NoFile_id.diz string and copy it to a new file. The output should look like the NoFileIDList in the IDFile Directory. For Demonstration purpose i included a short BBSfile and a NoFileIDList. Start with: IDFind NoFileIDList BBSList FoundList NotFound where FoundList is the list where the found descriptions are stored and NotFound is the list of the file were no Description was available in BBSList Note: IDFind is intended for excessive BBS-Users. Others may not find very much use for it. This Programm is Freeware.
